bicycling across america

I am bicycling across America in February 2012. I think this will be one of the greatest adventures of my life. I thought about doing it the easy way. Going with a group and having someone cook for you, carry your equipment. and take care of you. well, I have been taken care of most of my life so I decided to go solo, pack my own gear and do it all on my own. It will definitely be more of a challenge, however I think it will be a lot more satisfying.

I have ordered a new Trek 520 a bicycle made for touring and I am getting all my light weight camping gear and supplies.
